Based on the 10 Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Management Excellence, Excellence in Action is a nonprofit competencies certification program that encourages nonprofit volunteers and staff to learn more about nonprofit business.

Excellence in Action is a multi-strategy learning program designed for busy board members and employees. Volunteers and staff will be able to take self-paced online courses, webinars, and meet in a limited number of interactive sessions about specific nonprofit topics.

Once completed, an organization may receive the Excellence in Action distinction to be included on websites, in grants, and other promotional opportunities.
